Understand, the internet is just as essential to our liberty as the Bill of Rights, letting big business dictate that freedom, is like letting them re-write The Constitution. As everyone knows, public schools have failed, library hours are drastically reduced due to funding, and the gap between the rich and poor grows daily. True, the internet will not solve theses problems of itself, but it gives everyday people the power and opportunity to get an education, to access information vital to their potential, and to create and communicate wisdom and ideas. The network is the only technology force holding back the rich and powerful from dominating our media. The network is vital to democracy. It is the last economic frontier most of us will ever see. Without using the FCC powers to insure Net Neutrality and guarantee that future generations have the chance to educate themselves, we are lost. Net Neutrality is essential to free speech, equal opportunity and economic innovation in America.
