Solution: Never trust Black Boxes
I went down to the Registrar of Voters on thursday to vote, I'm a permanent mail in voter, but I just don't trust the mail, so I like to make a personal appearance on security cameras. While voting I noted a dozen Dibold TSX voting machines along the wall, so I asked a few questions about them. I hate 'BLACK BOX' voting machines, because they leave no paper trail, there is no way to know what they are programed to do, or not do. So, I asked if their code was 'open-source' (i.e. in the public domain, and available for public inspection). The answer was "NO, they are subject to program upload by the Secretary of State, by law." So, I asked what percentage of votes are taken by these machines, and the answer surprised me. The Registrar's Office said that the number of voters who use these Dibold Black Boxes is "Miniscule, less than 1%."
